Course Description
These qualifications are for the development of the role and
skill of managers. These qualifications aim to develop personal
management capabilities, make effective use of information in
decision-making, operations and the development of the skills in
managing people.
Progressions
The qualifications provide opportunities for progression to
other qualifications at the same or higher levels, which could
also be work-based or more academically structured. The
qualifications also support learners in meeting the requirements
for work and/or employment within all areas of management and
leadership at this level.

Qualifications Structure
This Diploma qualification offers a highly flexible approach to
learning. It allows the freedom and choice to select from the
broad range of units available allowing employers and
individuals to tailor the size and elements of the
qualifications to suit their specific needs.
- To achieve a CMI Level 6 Diploma in Management and
Leadership you will need to complete all core units and three
optional units to total of at least 55 credits
- The range of guided learning hours will be between 210 to
220
- This Diploma could take between 9-12 months.
This structure also allows individuals to build up credits and
transfer them between qualifications to avoid having to repeat
learning as they progress.
Prerequisites
- Intermediate or Bachelors degree in any discipline
- A minimum of two years of professional work experience
- An IELTS score of 5.5 or its equivalent
Methods of Study
The methods of study are:
- Self study workbooks
- Informal practical workshops and other group activities
- Practical work-based or case -study based assignments
How are the qualifications assessed?
Assessment is via practical work-based assignment to minimise
time away from work and maximise return on investment for
employers.
