Course Description
The Level 4 ‘Award’ qualification is aimed at developing basic
knowledge and skills in Management and Leadership and is
designed to develop personal management capabilities, making
effective use of information in the decision-making operations
and the development of the skills of managing people. The

Qualifications Structure
This qualification in Management and Leadership offers a highly
flexible approach to learning. It allows the freedom and choice
to select from the broad range of units available allowing
employers and individuals to tailor the size and elements of the
qualifications to suit their specific needs.
- To achieve a CMI Level 4 Award in Management and Leadership,
you need to successfully complete at least one unit to a minimum
of 6 credits.
- The range of guided learning hours will be between 20 to 40
hours
- This could take as little as 2-3 weeks
This structure also allows individuals to build up credits and
transfer them between qualifications to avoid having to repeat
learning as they progress.

- Practical work-based assignments
How are the qualifications assessed?
Assessment is via practical work-based assignment to minimise
time away from work and maximise return on investment for
employers.
