Course Description
The Level 4 ‘Certificate’ is a concise qualification aimed at
developing basic knowledge and skills in Management and
Leadership and is designed to develop personal management
capabilities, making effective use of information in the
decision-making operations and the development of the skills of

Qualifications Structure
The Level 4 qualifications in Management and Leadership offer a
highly flexible approach to learning. They allow the freedom and
choice to select from the broad range of units available
allowing employers and individuals to tailor the size and
elements of the qualifications to suit their specific needs.
- To achieve a CMI Level 4 Certificate in Management and
Leadership you need to successfully complete any combination of
units to a minimum of 13 credits.
- The range of guided learning hours will be between 45 to 70
hours
- The Certificate can take between 1-3 months
This structure also allows individuals to build up credits and
transfer them between qualifications to avoid having to repeat
learning as they progress.

- Self study workbooks
- Informal practical workshops
- Practical work-based assignments
How are the qualifications assessed?
Assessment is via practical work-based assignment to minimise
time away from work and maximise return on investment for
employers.
