Course Description
This Award qualification is designed for managers who have the
authority and personal inspiration to translate organizational
strategy into effective operational performance. It is designed
to help managers to build on their strategic management and
leadership skills and to focus on the requirements of
implementing the organisation’s strategy. It concentrates on the
strategic application of management theories and principles. The

Qualifications Structure
This Award qualification in Strategic Management and Leadership
offers a highly flexible approach to learning. It allows the
freedom and choice to select from the broad range of units
available allowing employers and individuals to tailor the size
and elements of the qualifications to suit their specific needs.
- To achieve a CMI Level 7 Award in Management and Leadership,
you need to successfully complete at least one unit to a minimum
of 6 credits.
- The range of guided learning hours will be between 20 to 35
hours
- This could take as little as 2-3 weeks
This structure also allows individuals to build up credits and
transfer them between qualifications to avoid having to repeat
learning as they progress.

The methods of study are:
- Self study workbooks
- Informal practical workshops
- Practical work-based assignments
How are the qualifications assessed?
Assessment is via practical work-based assignment to minimise
time away from work and maximise return on investment for
employers.
